More than 150 members, former members and firends gathered at the Swiss Mennonite Church, Alsen, ND on Sunday July 4, 2004 to celerate the centennial of the congregation's founding.  Under the theme, "Hitherto hath the Lord helped us", the 2:00 PM celebration included reflections from former pastors and musical numbers from members and friends.

Founded by families that had traveled to North Dakota from the Freeman, SD area, the congregation has been known for its support of missions and missionaries.  For the past number of years the congregation has shared pastors with local Assemblies of God congregations.  Current pastor is Vergil Moos.
