This PowerPoint presentation introduces Central Plains, its structure and people. Here is a chart of the new structure, introduced at Annual Meeting 2011. The Delegate Body meets once a year at Annual Meeting. Between annual meetings, Central Plains is governed by the Conference Board. June 2011 update on structure changes The changes that have taken place already: Job descriptions and titles for all ministry staff.
The Conference Board (formerly Conference Council) consists of the officers and at-large members. The chairs of the three standing committees no longer serve on the conference board.
Changes in the committees are as follows: The Congregational Ministries Committee is now called the Christian Formation Committee. It consists of two task groups, one for children and adult faith formation and one for youth and young adult faith formation. The new chair of the CFC is Lerace Graber of Freeman, South Dakota. Shana Peachey Boshart is Conference Minister for Christian Formation. The CFC works collaboratively with Conference Minister for Christian Formation Shana Peachey Boshart.
The role and mandate of the Pastoral Leadership Committee remains very much the same. They are also creating a network of people trained to assist congregations with pastoral searches and pastor-congregation evaluations. Susan Janzen of Cedar Falls, Iowa, continues to chair the PLC.

Tim Detweiler.
The Outreach & Service Committee is just starting their structure transition. The Ecuador Partnership, Partners in Mission and Church Planting Strategy Team are included in this area. Roger Farmer of Washington, Iowa, is the new chair of the O&SC. Executive Conference Minister David Boshart works with the Outreach & Service Committee.
